Chemobrain

They say when you get chemo you loose some short term memory. Yesterday was a milestone, I could carry Jonny from the car to the storefront with out getting out breath! They say when you get chemo you loose some short term memory. That's hilarious.

I've never heard that chemo improves a sense of humor, but I'm trying to come up with something witty to say here but coming up short.

=) I can understand this one! I was on a drug called Topamax for several months. The nurses called it dopamax because it pretty much made you stupid. I could remember to eat (I had to put dates and times on bags of snacks so I'd know if I did eat or not), couldn't remember a lot of anything. I don't know (literally!!) how many times I've told stories to Drew only to have him stop me or finish the story for me. The new med I'm on has similar but less drastic effects too. Side effects suck. But, at least we might not remember how much!

Oh, and I had to get a little calendar that I used just to keep track of medicines and various medically related notes (if I slept, if I forgot a med, if I had a bad day). Maybe that will help you?

Love you lots and we DO remember to keep you in our prayers though! =)
